Holiday Craft Fair Brings an extra $2,500

Many thanks to all who helped and participated in this very fun event. With more than 50 tables of beautiful crafts and items, families enjoyed taking their children's photos with a very unique cast of characters (Mr. and Mrs. Frosty, Mr. and Mrs. Claus, and Rudolf). It was a great day and one the Pride Park Renovation may do again in 2005!

Auction Brings in $43,000 Towards Renovation

Auction October 22, 2004

Many thanks to our Auction Fundraising Chair, Robin Baldarelli and all the Auction Committee Volunteers. This hard working and dedicated team put together a very exciting and entertaining event for us. We express our gratitude to the families for their support, time and understanding.

Businesses and local citizens generously donated their time, talents and wares to assemble an impressive array of silent and live auction items. Thank you to the donors, advertisers, and community groups for their support. It is with their belief and efforts that we were able to raise more than $43,000 towards the renovation of Pride Park.

Thank you to all guests for attending this one-of-a-kind event. Thank you to all of the supporters, donors, and guests for making all the hard work worthwhile. Your participation made this auction a success. We appreciate your support and most generous donations and most of all, we are forever grateful you support this project.

Sincerely, The Pride Park Renovation Committee

SWIM-A-THON Team and 35 Participants raised $1,700!

Well, it may have been a "dreary" day to some due to weather - but it was a bright, sun-shiny day for all the children at the pool the morning of August 21.!

35 children came together and swam 17, 3 00 yards total -- which is 10.5 miles together - The Pride Park Swim-a-thon Team and 35 Participants raised $1,700. The participants worked hard. We thank them and their sponsors! The youngest swimmer was at 3.5 years old and the oldest at 51.

Thank you to Lori and David Corcoran for being "captains" on the event - you deserve a BIG, BIG hand - especially for your love of the sport - all of your coordinating, scheduling, expertise, dedication, enthusiasm, and hands-on hard work!

And of course, to ALL Pride Park Swim-a-thon volunteers - YOUR dedication, great ideas, support, hard work, and participation before-hand as well as during the event was incredible.

Thank you to our sponsors: Central Street Market, Cathy Cranston (for donating the hotdog rolls), Underwater Pool, Surfside Pool, Frito Lay, Wachusett Country Club, Parks and Rec. Department, and Polar Beverages.

It was a beautiful day. Thank you to all for making it a big success - not only for the park, but as a positive experience in the lives of the children.

As I overheard one 7 year old say: " But I want to do it again, can I do it again?" That sure does sum it up.
